ESI at conference in Yerevan - Wider Black Sea: Perspectives for International and Regional Security

Nigar Goksel spoke at the conference titled "Wider Black Sea: Perspectives for International and Regional Security" hosted by the Armenian International Policy Research Group (AIPRG) in Yerevan on January 14-15, 2008. Nigar mainly spoke about Turkey's EU integration and the transformation of the Black Sea region through EU enlargement. Nigar also chaired the final session of the two-day conference. In the days following the conference, Nigar worked with the researchers in Armenia with whom ESI is conducting joint research.

On January 31st Nigar Goksel will make a presentation at the Istanbul Policy Centre on ESI's research on women in Turkey. The audience will include a group from Carleton College, USA.
