ESI at the Albanian parliamentary elections

ESI's Gerald Knaus and Besa Shahini went on a fact finding mission on the occasion of Albania's parliamentary elections on 23 June. They met with Albanian politicians, including Edi Rama, the leader of the Albanian Socialists, Ilir Meta, chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI), and Ditmir Bushati, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, as well as with European diplomats, including Nicholas Cannon, British Ambassador to Albania, Martin de la Beij, Dutch Ambassador to Albania. They also met Chris Stone, the president of the Open Society Foundations, and Ivan Krastev, the Chairman of the Centre for Liberal Strategies (Sofia).

Alan Grant is an Irish photographer who travelled extensively in the Balkans and other countries and regions of the world. Jonathan Lewis lives between London and Istanbul. He moved to London and spent many years studying photography and now specialises in photojournalism, documentary photography and commercial work for a wide variety of private and commercial clients in the UK, Europe and Turkey.
