Vienna – ESI debating Europe's refugee crisis

On 2 November 2015 ESI's Kristof Bender was invited to participate in a discussion on the topic "Europe – a shelter or a fortress? Facing the refugee flows challenge." The event was organised by the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue the Centre for Liberal Strategies from Sofia, and the Directorate for Security Policy of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports, as part of their seminar series "Europe at Risk 2.0 - New Paradigms for European Security."

Kristof spoke about the nature of the challenges that arise through the refugee crisis and presented ESI's policy proposal how to address the Syrian refugee crisis.
