ESI's Kristof Bender attended a workshop on “Assessing the Future of Migration Governance in the Mediterranean” organised by IEMed and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Programme Political Dialogue and regional Integration in the Southern Mediterranean. The event, organised on 22 and 23 June 2026 in Vienna, brought together researchers and officials of international organisations and the European Commission. The workshop, held under Chatham House rules, focused on assessing the Pact on Migration which recently formally entered into force and on alternative ways for partnerships across the Mediterranean.
