Dresden – ESI discussing migration policy at CDU party convention
17 May 2019
At a conference organised by the Saxonian CDU, ESI's Gerald Knaus participated in a panel discussion titled "Our Europe for more security in Saxony", which took place on 17 May 2019 in Dresden. Amongst his fellow panellists were the chairman of the German Police Union, Rainer Wendt, and the state secretary of the Saxonian ministry of the interior.
While discussing the effects of the refugee crisis on Germany the panellists also focused on the emerging threat of the so-called ‚Reichsbürger' movement that radically challenges the legitimacy of the democratic German state and of which there are 1,400 members in Saxony alone.
