Philipp Sandmann joined ESI as a Senior Analyst in November 2025. In May 2025, he graduated with a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he focused on the topic of migration. Philipp also holds a bachelor's degree from Middlesex University (London) and an M.A. from City University (London). Until July 2023, he worked as a TV reporter and political correspondent for Germany’s largest private news network RTL/ntv, covering topics such as Germany’s changing role in NATO and the European Union. He accompanied politicians on trips to Israel, Latvia, and Kosovo. Philipp has written political analyses and op-eds for leading German newspapers such as BILD, FAZ, and Welt.
