Visby – ESI at Visby conference: Europe Whole and Free – Challenges in the Eastern Neighbourhood

ESI's Gerald Knaus travelled to Visby for the annual Visby conference organised by the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation. This year's conference was entitled Round-Table Conference on Europe Whole and Free – Challenges in the Eastern Neighbourhood".

Participants included Carl Bildt, former Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Ukraine, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Knut Abraham, Germany, Head of Division, Federal Chancellery, and Mikhail Kasyanov, Russia, Party Leader, PARNAS, among others.

Gerald delivered the conclusions on the last day of the conference.

Alan Grant is an Irish photographer who travelled extensively in the Balkans and other countries and regions of the world.
