Sarajevo – ESI at conference on Bosnia’s EU path

Adnan Ćerimagić, ESI’s senior analyst, spoke at the conference „Evropa zove – BiH na drugoj liniji“, held on 17 November 2025 at the Swiss Hotel in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event brought together diplomats, policy experts, and civil society representatives to assess Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress on its path to the European Union.
Adnan participated in the first panel, The European Path of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Lens of Promises, Results, and Readiness. Speakers included Adebayo Babajide, deputy head of the EU Delegation to BiH; Darija Ramljak from the Directorate for European Integration; and Denis Džidić of BIRN BiH.
The discussion focused on country’s current state of reforms, the credibility of political commitments, and the readiness of institutions to meet the obligations of the EU accession process.
In his remarks, Adnan presented ESI’s analysis of the opportunities and obstacles facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasising the importance of concrete reform delivery, transparent institutions, and a consistent, measurable approach to EU integration.
