Berlin – ESI joins discussion on EU enlargement

ESI Senior Analyst Adnan Cerimagic took part in the 10th Danube Salon. It was organised by the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry together with the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Berlin.
Adnan participated in a panel discussion alongside Dr Mirza Krso, member of the governing board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Anja Quiring, regional director for Southeast Europe at the German Eastern Business Association, and a representative from the German Federal Foreign Office. The discussion focused on the strategic importance of the Danube region, economic cooperation, and the impact of EU policies on regional development. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the future of the Danube region and the role of EU macro-regional strategies. During the panel, Adnan presented ESI’s research and policy recommendations on EU integration.
The Danube Salon also featured presentations from regional partners, a photo exhibition, and musical performances by pianist Ivan Galic and the band Vernesa Berbo and the Balkan Boys. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the cultural and culinary diversity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Baden-Württemberg while engaging in discussions on current challenges and opportunities in the region.
