Sarajevo – ESI at Sarajevo Security Conference

ESI senior analyst Adnan Ćerimagić took part in the Sarajevo Security Conference 2025, held from 26 to 28 September at Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conference gathered leading policy makers, diplomats, security and defence experts, and representatives of NATO and the EU to discuss global and regional security challenges.
Adnan was a panelist in the session “Anchoring the Western Balkans: Germany’s Role in a Shifting European Landscape,” alongside Michael Reiffenstuel, director for South-Eastern Europe, Turkey, EFTA States, OSCE and Council of Europe at the German Federal Foreign Office; Boris Mijatović, member of the Bundestag; and Marina Vulović, researcher and lecturer at the University of Potsdam. The discussion was moderated by Manuel Sarrazin, president of the Southeast Europe Association and former special representative for the Western Balkans of the German government.
Adnan used the opportunity to engage with senior officials and experts from the EU, NATO, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the wider region, contributing ESI’s perspective on European integration and security.
