The CEU School of Public Policy and the European Stability Initiative are pleased to invite you to

a film screening of

"Twilight of Heroes – Croatia, Europe and the International Tribunal"

with

Gerald Knaus, European Stability Initiative, Chairman

9 May 2013, 13.30-14:45

CEU auditorium

CEU School of Public Policy
Nador u. 9, 1051 Budapest, Hungary

The documentary tells the riveting story of the European Union’s next member state: how Croatia, since 1999 has broken out of its previous isolation, came to terms with its recent past, opened up to the rest of Europe and its neighbors and, finally convinced the rest of Europe that it is ready to join the EU.

All the main protagonists in these events have been interviewed for this film – presidents, prime ministers, international prosecutors, nationalists and Europeanizers. The film is also a reminder of how the idea of Europe can be an inspiration for dramatic change.

The film was produced by Gerald Knaus and Fritz Ofner based on ESI research and is part of the Return to Europe film series www.returntoeurope.org  supported by ERSTE Stiftung.
