The Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation and ESI hosted a two-day conference on "The Future for Reforms in the Eastern Neighbourhood – Visa liberalisation, the Refugee crisis and the new Security situation" in Istanbul. The aim was to explore ways for more European integration and how to tackle the challenges in light of the refugee crisis, the worsening human rights situation in some countries and the new security situation in the region.
