Prague – Seminar on the future of European migration and asylum policy

ESI's Gerald Knaus was invited to present ESI's policy proposals at a seminar at the Czech Parliament on "The Future of European Migration and Asylum Policy" organised by MP Helena Langšádlová. The other participants were Peter Webinger, Deputy Director General for Migration at the Austrian Ministry of Interior; Raphaël Sodini, Director for Asylum at the French Ministry of Interior; Simon Mordue, Deputy Director General of DG HOME at the European Commission; and Kateřina Flaigová, Team Leader, External and EU Institutional Affairs, Europol.

Gerald also met with a group of foreign policy experts at a brainstorming on "Defending liberal Europe in 2018 - concrete policy ideas for migration, the rule of law and the future of enlargement" organised by the Aspen Institute.
