Capacity Building workshop in Sarajevo: "Building a European think tank"

ESI and OSI Bosnia jointly organized a two-day capacity building seminar for young Bosnian researchers in Jahorina near Sarajevo. The overall objective was to foster local capacities for independent policy research in Bosnia Herzegovina. The main aims of the two-day capacity building seminar were to raise the participants’ methodological skills in order to allow them to carry out independent policy-oriented research in their country and to develop basic skills for respective policy advocacy.

Drawing on previous capacity building projects in Kosovo and Macedonia, ESI analysts introduced the 15 competitively selected participants to the research methodology ESI has developed in the past six years and encouraged them to apply a similar set of questions and techniques to understanding economic and social trends in their own society.
