Anastasia Sikiaridi (former staff)

Anastasia Sikiaridi (Greece) joined ESI in May 2015 and is pursuing a Masters of Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. She studied history at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York and film in Buenos Aires. Her thesis on the experience of the Slav-Macedonian population in Greece from 1944 to 1949 was awarded the university's Eugene H. Byrne History Prize. Following graduation, she worked at the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation in New York, which sponsors scholarly research on problems of violence, aggression, and dominance. Anastasia's research interests include migration policies, nationalism and the post-Ottoman world.
