Ata Kinran (former staff)

Ata Kinran joined ESI in July 2023 as a junior fellow. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international conflict and crisis studies at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University and a university diploma programme in Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian studies at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (INALCO) in Paris. Ata has diverse research interests, including politics of memory, nation-building, social movements, conflict analysis, separatist movements, rule of law, European Union enlargement, European Union law, as well as contemporary political dynamics in the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, and Turkey.
