ESI's Gerald Knaus was invited to speak in Copenhagen at the conference "Meeting humanitarian needs in the next EU migration agreements" organised by the Danish Red Cross (DRC). HeI argued why the DRC and other humanitarian organisations should support implementation of the statement; what is wrong with Danish-Austrian vision paper; and what alternative vision the Danish government should support.
The following day, he had meetings with centre-right and centre-left politicians, media and more civil society.
