ESI in New York: Gender and Power in Turkey

ESI senior analyst Nigar Göksel was invitited to speak about ESI's research on the changing realities of women in Turkey at an event organised by the American Turkish society in New York. In commemoration of International Women's Day on March 8, this panel discussion examined the changing gender relations and women's living conditions in the recent decades in Turkey. It addressed the political, socio-economic and cultural dimensions of the current gender regime and the diverse living conditions of women across social classes, regions, and the urban-rural divide.
