Berlin – ESI at workshop on best practices for think tank advocacy

ESI’s Gerald Knaus was invited to co-chair a workshop on best practices for think tanks with Daniela Schwarzer (member of the Bertelsmann Stiftung Executive Board) at the Bertelsmann Stiftung.

Gerald emphasised the importance of grounding arguments in solid research and data and presenting complex issues in a manner that is not only accessible but also engaging to a broad audience. This approach is critical in influencing policy-making and public opinion.

As examples for this approach Gerald presented two ESI proposals on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and EU enlargement, showcasing how thorough research can lead to concrete policy recommendations.
