Turkey – Events in Ankara and Istanbul: Beyond Chapters - The Future of Turkey in Europe

ESI's Gerald Knaus spoke at three events on EU-Turkey relations in Ankara (at TOBB University of Economics and Technology) and Istanbul organised by the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC). Other speakers included Hannes Swoboda, former Member of the European Parliament, Mercator-IPC Senior Fellow, Burak Erdenir, Ministry for European Union Affairs of Turkey, Fuat Keyman, Istanbul Policy Center, among others.

Gerald underlined the importance of the EU-Turkey visa liberalisation process, showing that the process has the potential to improve EU-Turkey relations and revive the flagging Turkey accession process.
