Berlin – Meetings and presentations on the Syrian refugee crisis

On 1 December, ESI's Gerald Knaus participated in the European Council on Foreign Realtion's annual members meeting where he met with Norbert Röttgen, head of the foreign affais committee in the German Bundestag, Roderich Kiesewetter, MP and foreign policy expert, and Hans Eichel, former federal minister of finance of Germany, among others, to present ESI's proposal on the Syrian refugee crisis.

On 2 December Gerald spoke at a panel on German-Turkish relations organised by the newspaper Zaman. He discussed with Cem Özdemir, head of the Green Party, and Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, former minister of Justice on how to solve the Syrian refugee crisis.

Gerald also met with the Turkish ambassador and participated in a live debate on Turkish-Russian relations on German TV.
