Vienna – ESI briefs Danish parliamentary delegation

ESI's Kristof Bender was invited to brief a delegation from the Danish Parliament's Immigration and Integration Committee on migration and asylum policy in Austria. They also discussed how a "humane asylum" policy, based on respect for the refugee convention and without pushbacks, could be implemented in the future.

The Danish delegation included the spokespersons on immigration and integration of the Social Democratic Party, Kasper Sand Kjær, the Moderates, Mohammad Rona, and the Conservative Party, Brigitte Klintskov Jerkel, as well as the committee secretary Karoline Ove Dahl and committee assistant Charlotte Schwaner. The meeting was hosted at the Danish Embassy by Deputy Head of Mission Pia Starbæk Szczepanski and First Secretary Jonas Mejlsøe Bertelsen.
