ESI’s Gerald Knaus met with Boris Pistorius, Minister of the Interior of the German state of Lower Saxony. The minister and Gerald exchanged views on the future of asylum and migration policy. In addition, they agreed that more humane, progressive and at the same time pragmatic migration policies are needed and that the next German Government has a chance to contribute to a positive vision for reconciling empathy and control.
