Berlin – ESI presentation on asylum and migration policy for the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly
27 January 2021
ESI’s Gerald Knaus gave a presentation to the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly on asylum and migration, with a focus on Africa. Gerald stressed that there are not millions of Africans at the EU’s doorstep and that hundreds of thousands of people cannot be deported. What is needed are fast asylum procedures, a joint effort by a coalition of EU countries, and serious agreements with countries of origin.
