Vienna – ESI presentation for the Jesuit Community on Europe, War, and Borders

ESI’s Gerald Knaus was invited to give a presentation on “What Europe do we need? Between war, inhumane borders and European values” organised by the Jesuit Community Vienna.
Gerald spoke about the current Ukrainian refugee crisis, ESI’s proposal for a humanitarian airlift to distribute refugees across Europe.
In addition, Gerald spoke about the EU enlargement process in the Western Balkans and the need to draw Central and Eastern European democracies closer to the EU and avoid further threats and possible aggression from Russia.
